Yes it’s not “natural” but do you realize how many animals get put down a day because they don’t have a home? Because there are too many animals out there already? Too many. It is necessary. And beneficial in ways. Like preventing uterus cancer that can develop in female dogs and cats. When you’re the one who gets to walk into the freezer and see how many animals got put down today because of overpopulation, you might think a little differently.. It’s really fucking sad.
I agree with you, it is necessary many places like the u.s. or u.k., but in Norway this isn’t a overpopulation isn’t close to being an issue. It’s horrible how many dogs and cats are homeless and how many are puy down each day. When I lived in the u.s. all the dogs we had were shelter dogs and fixed, was a no-brainer.
In Norway, like I said, there isn’t an overpopulation problem. Don’t know why but there isn’t. For that reason, I think, most vets will not fix dogs “just because” or as a form of prevention for cancer. We (my mom and I) tried to fix our last dog because he was always stressed and went to many, many vets, and none of them would do it. They said it wrong to do it because the dog wasn’t sick.
I just wanted to tell you because I don’t want someone to think I am a irresponsible dog owner.

This made my morning :) I’m glad to hear that!
IF I SEE “CONSENT IS SEXY” ONE MORE TIME I AM GOING TO SCREAM. CONSENT IS NOT SEXY, CONSENT IS FUCKING MANDATORY. STOP TRYING TO MARKET THIS IN A WAY THAT DOESN’T DISPLAY HOW FUCKING MANDATORY IT IS TO HAVE CONSENT. IT IS NOT A PLUS. A PERK. A THING THAT DESERVES A COOKIE. IT. IS. FUCKING. MANDATORY.
To the anons for giving me shit for not neutering my dog, get a life. I live in Norway and for some reason vets here will only neuter/spay dogs when it is medically necessary; it is extremely hard to find a vet who will do it.
Norway doesn’t have the same problem as the U.S. or U.K. when it comes to over crowed shelters filled with dogs that need homes.
